About the Program
Piruqatigiit Resource Centre is developing Kajungiqsaivik: A place to be inspired, motivated, and try again—a community-responsive program designed to reach underserved Nunavummiut facing multiple persistent barriers. The program provides wraparound supports focused on:
• Job readiness and life skills
• Culturally grounded programming
• Community connection and advocacy
• Access to an adult mental health, learning, and neurodiversity assessment clinic
This work is grounded in reducing barriers, strengthening well-being, and supporting individuals in navigating complex systems and improving their quality of life.
Position Summary
The Kajungiqsaiji plays a critical role in delivering community-based, trauma-informed, and culturally grounded outreach and support services to underserved Nunavummiut. This position requires a self-directed, compassionate, and highly adaptable individual who is comfortable working in dynamic environments and alongside individuals experiencing complex life circumstances, including justice involvement, mental health challenges, systemic barriers, and marginalization. The Kajungiqsaiji provides 1:1 support, group programming, advocacy, and system navigation, meeting people where they are—physically, emotionally, and culturally.
