What is Ajunngittutit?

Ajunngittutit is a supportive community-based learning program for children and youth to learn at their own pace. Ajunngittutit can also provide an opportunity to reconnect with school and learning environments. Ajunngittutit Community Learning Program focuses on:

  • Hands on learning at your own pace
  • Learning about Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit values and skills
  • Inuktitut language development
  • Some land-based learning and programming
  • Finding out what you’re really good at and what you might like to do for a job in the future
  • Learning job readiness skills
  • Learning ways to take care of your mental health and well-being
  • Having fun!

At this time, attendance at Ajunngittutit Community Learning Program will not give you a grade 12 diploma, but you will receive a certificate for the time you spend in our program. We can also help you with your job or post-secondary school goals.
